HK DAIWA was established as a joint venture with DAIWA INDUSTRIAL LIMITED (Osaka, Japan) in 1979, starting off as a distributor of generic electronic components such as diodes, transistors and variable resistors. The Group simultaneously distributed and manufactured for renowned brand names and substantially expanded in market share.

1980
DAIWA started off as a distributor of generic electronic components such as diodes, transistors and variable resistors.

1981
Manufacturing of semi-fixed resistors started.

1982
DAIWA became the first distributor of Toshibaˇs electronic components in HK.

Started distribution of electronic components in PRC.

1985
DAIWAˇs first PRC office was set up in Guangzhou約 (PRC).

1986
The Group received formal written authorization of distributorship of Toshiba in HK.
In the later years, DAIWA became authorized distributors of Panasonic, On-Semiconductor, Sino America Silicon, Elan, MCS Logic and started its own brand, ¨COSMOS〃.

Joint venture with the Zhaoqing籉紋 (PRC) Municipal Government to manufacture Rectifier Diode.

1988
Manufacturing of the small signal transistor started.

1989
Toronto (Canada) Daiwa was set up, distributing personal PC products.

1990
DAIWA became an authorized OEM manufacturer of SGS Thomson on transistors.

1991
Vancouver Daiwa was set up.

1993
Awarded the Q-Mark Award (best quality award) in HK

DAIWAˇs Shanghai  (PRC) was set up.

1993
Awarded the ISO9002 certificate.

1994
Public listed in the Hong Kong Stock Exchange. (Stock code: 1037)

San Jose Daiwa was set up.

Sales offices in Beijing ㄊ and Tienjin ぱ瑉 (PRC) were set up.

1996
Manufacturing in China was certified by ISO9002

DAIWAˇs Shenzhen 瞏 (PRC) sales office was set up.

1997
Quebec Daiwa was set up.

1998
Nova Scotia Daiwa was set up.

1999
Beijing Daiwa was set up.

1999
Alberta Daiwa was set up.

2001
Received a customer award from Toshiba to praise DAIWAˇs sales achievements.

2002
DAIWA Yuenfu 冻疊 (PRC) factory was set up.

2004
DAIWA Macau Logistic office was set up.
